I had one of those 'defining moments' today

That's the fun of owning an iMac, when people ask "Where did the computer go?".
I've gotten quite a few comments on the ultra-thin keyboard; they asked if it was real. 
Apple has done a great job of making their products very stylish. That's what draws peoples curiosity to look and use it... then OS X finished the job. Hope I never have to use a windoze computer again.
Very cool! Before I got the iMac, I always thought the rest of the computer was below the display counter. It was until I looked closer that I realized it was all in one. At that point I was sold.
I just got my iMac, and it was sitting on my desk with the dorm room door open. People would walk by, take a gander, and then just reply "nice monitor."

I enjoy taking my iMac (17 inch original Intel one, and a 15 inch external display in my handy carrying case.
In a matter of moments, I have it up and running with two displays, Mac on the 17 inch and Windows in full screen mode via Parallels on the 15 inch.
It definitely is a show stopper. Most common question, is where is the computer? Then after explaining where the computer is, the next most common question is how do you read a CD or watch a Movie. I casually pop in a DVD and get some really neat looks of amazement.
And then it gets better as I put the iMac through it's paces.
heh got that over 3 years ago when I first got my iMac G5!

If you are referring to me, then let me explain.
I bring a variety of computers to my classes to illustrate different platforms to my students. Makes class more interesting that way.

One of the great things about macs is I always get compliments on how cool they look, whether it is my macbook, my old g4 imac, G5 or G4 machine. Definitely grabs peoples attention.
Can't say the same about any of my PC machines.
Friend coming on over on friday, ill have my vcam ready. Can't wait to see his reaction, i told him i have a mac, with a 24" screen. that was the start, the surprise im gonna show him is that its an all in one!!! he doesn't believe the screen is that big. so, wait till the rest, may have remove my BC2's from view to prove that there is internal speakers. BC2 = bose companion 2.

Not A really excited response, he wasn't like "OMG!!!!". But, he was kinda shocked at how big it was, see his reaction on this youtube video:

I know all too much about the laptops I wish of
. I am hopefully a future chemist and currently am in high school science research and we had a few days before the fair where we were all day in the lab/research room working on our final touches. Having instantly fallen in love with numbers and its gorgeous graphs I was using that to make our results stand out.None too surprising, many fellow junior researchers were asking how to make graphs that looked that good as they jotted around wielding pages of 2-d black and white bar graphs.
Along with a new computer I am in love with, I wore my very first suit for the event. Not the greatest picture, but I was getting compliments left and right.

You are still young and might not be aware of this, but is generally considered good etiquette to remove the price tag from a suit before wearing it in public.
To be honest, to me you look a bit overdressed for the situation, but then I never wore a full suit during all my school and university years.

He is not wearing a price tag, its a ribbon, and damn, does he look like an austin!!! all the austin's i know look him!!! weird, and also, most of them have brothers thats name is aaron, weird, i know.
