Can anyone help me? About a week ago, we had a power outage and my internet was down for a couple hours, so i had to reset the modem and everything. Ever since then, my aol, on all of my computers in the house, cannot get on aim sometimes.. When one computer cant get on, they all cant, but i can try again an hour later, and i will be able to sign on. This is true for aol and aim.. and my mail client on osx... I called aol.. and the moron lady over there tells me on my windows machine to do the aol restore thing aol.. I was trying to explain to her that wouldnt do anything because it must be a network problem, since its on all of my computers, but she just kept telling me to do that, which of course, didnt work.. Can anyone help me with my problem?? Im pretty sure it must be something with the network..

Can you connect to the Internet at all? If not, then I am afraid you blew your modem and/or router. This has already happened to us twice during lightning storms, so we always take precaution now by shutting everything down. And when you say power outage, are you talking about a storm of some kind?

don't we all hate AOL... the app? If i had to guess, it could be something wrong with your modem/router. Maybe something got fried, but it still has enough power to work?

I think it's just a problem with AOL cause that has happened to me a few times. I normally can get on the internet too. However when i can't get on the internet or AOL I unplug the router/box and then plug them back in after about 30 seconds. Seems to work most of the time.
