awhile ago i noticed the casing where the left plamrest cover and the base was not properly aligned...and when you press it would squeak abit...

now it has gotten worse...dont know how..whenever i put pressure on the side i can feel the plastic casing moving in a fair bit, like its not snug...

i knwo its not the overtighenting of the screws because the upper casing would be misaligned and poping up...in this case..you can said its popping sideways from the upper cover...

i dont have pictures since i dont have digital cam...

also i have an incase sleeve and put it in my bag that has a laptop compartment...the side that squeaks is always the side that is touching the floor or bottom the bag since it has to be put in sideways...

i know applecare wont do anything..so should i just let it be..i dont want it to get worse

also do u think it could be the screw? since that is the main area where it seems like its popping out...

its not the corner screw its the screw 25% in from the left corner...

will it even do anything if i try tightening it? or will i mess it up even more?

will an apple store even try screwing it in?

Yes they will take a look and see if it's an easy fix. If it's more involved, they'll have a tech work on it in-house.

yeah i really dont want them to send it out if they do anything...i need it for school....

just say the problem gets worst..and there are more casing issues (such as cracking, warps etc.) ...does apple ever fix this issues?

I'm fairly certain the offending screw does little to nothing. On my old BlackBook, that place was always a little "flimsy" compared to the rest. I never really bothered with it, it just seemed like it wasn't a problem.

yeah i hope its doesnt get even worse...since it did get a little worse in my situation...

i know its not a big deal now...but im just scared ill run into something im not gonna like

The left hand side of my MB's casing squeeks a bit when you push it in as well.......

Solution: Don't forcefully push in the case. Mystery solved.

(My MacBook has the same thing. It's not a problem. Look at other laptops and you will realize that this is a negligible "issue".)

good point...that helps me...
but i keep pressing the casing for some reason...hoping it wont go away..haha but never does...
this wont harm it right?

I do it too. :) It probably won't harm it, but I can't imagine it's a good idea.

ohh man..what a relief...
i know im overreacting..

but when you pay a lot of money, which you dont have a lot of, for something you want the best out of it...

I had this exact same issue as you, and I too used an incase sleeve. I brought my macbook pro into a AASP and they replaced the entire top portion of that case for me, and now the problem is gone. Should be a manufacturer defect as i had only received the MBP last month and have been using a wireless keyboard and not the built in keyboard.

ill get mine checked out at an apple store when i have time...maybe summer time since im extrememly busy with school and work....

but its not a big deal now...i can live with it...
