I'm on 10.3.3 iPhone 6S, with Virgin Mobile (Sprint) - but this doesn't matter, because I've had the same problems with earlier iOS and different phones (and iPod Touch) and different carriers.
Here is the stupid problem - I send a photo from the apple's photo app by email, and it makes the "whoosh" sound as if it went out, but then about half the time it doesn't actually go out. Then I assume that it's been sent, and find out hours later that it's sitting in the outbox. This is infuriating, because I never know if it's been sent or not, and after hitting SEND, I have to go in and check to see if it actually sent it. This sux majorly.
And I am careful to make sure that there is coverage when I do it, and that my gmail is accessible. It just plain fails. What do you guys do to avoid this idiotic issue. It seems to me that there shouldn't be a cue in the form of the "whoosh" sent sound, unless it's ACTUALLY been sent - this is highly misleading. If it's just parking the photo in the outbox there should be a different sound. This is a major annoyance.
How do you guys go about solving this issue - or maybe you guys don't have the issue in the first place?
