To me it is not just pointless, it gets in the way. Mostly when I'm trying to watch a video. I will reach up to scroll through the video, and it will pull down the center. If there is a cydia tweak that will allow me to disable it either completely or while in an app could someone please tell me. Or if anyone else has this opinion please post and let cydia developers aware of this demand. Thanks!

Coming from a bigger screen I'm always dragging it down. There just is not enough room to move around while on a web page.

I really like the notification system. I don;t think, even without the notification system, the 3.5" screen is good to watch videos. Get an iPad, other tablet laptop, etc.

Some may not be able to afford that, but if you can, that is the best combination.

I agree except I have found 1 use for it... Since the iphone4 has such a ridiculously sensitive screen sensor & I'm always hitting mute or some other button unintentionally while I'm talking to someone, I can slide down the curtain & that's no longer an issue:)

What I don't like is that you turn on your phone and you see you have notifications with the phone locked. Since the phone is locked you only have seconds to read them. Then you slide your unlock and pull down the notices. If you want to read one of them you click on it and it goes to that email etc. Since you are already in your email you read the rest, then you still have to return to the pull down and clear the notices.

It would probably be better to just provide a simple note that you have new email or new text messages vice listing each one but that is what the badges are for. If you only want to glance at what you have received it works OK but not read each one.

I quite like it, IMHO, it is meant to be used as a quick glance, anything important can then be addressed there and then, less important items I just ignore until I am in the mail app anyway.

I highly dislike it on my iPad. I loved how on the iPhone it covered the entire screen. But on iPad, it only drops down a few inches, and isn't to wide either. I would rather have it cover the entire screen.

I honestly forget that it's there most of the time, until I pull down to check the weather. Personally I'd like more widgets in the notification drop down, brightness, wifi, etc...

I love watching videos on my iPhone 4. Have no issues with the size of the screen. The iPhone form factor in my case is far more accomodating per watching videos on-the-go or even at home while sitting in front of the computer monitors in my home office for instance. Can just sit the iPhone below my main computer monitor and watch videos as I'm working on something. On-the-go I always have my iPhone with me. Am not interested in carrying around an iPad as well. That being said, I would like to purchase an iPad eventually as there are a number of iPad apps I'm interested in using, some that are for the iPad only, others that are enhanced versions of apps I already own for the iPhone. Would also find the iPad great to use when travelling or for simply browsing the web at times where I'm not sitting in front of a computer. Am able to browse the web pretty effectively using the iPhone, but the screen in this case I do find very small. Not a very comfortable experience per se. As far as the notification center, I have as of yet to bring down the notification center by accident. Am finding it very useful so far, but would love to see enhancements added. Would be great to be able to access certain settings options right from the notification center as I've seen being done if I recall from iPhones that have been jailbroken. Least I remember seeing screenshots of that here on the forums if I'm not mistaken unless those were just mock-ups.

I didn't really know how much I'd miss it until I downgraded back down to 4.3.3. It really is a handy tool and I'm constantly reaching for it and instead getting SBsettings.
