I have a 27" mid 2010 iMac.

I also have a 17" imac G5.

Should I sell the G5? I kind of use it as an external monitor at times, but can't think of any good uses for it right now.

It's the 1.6ghz PPC G5 model and it has 768mb of RAM. Any good ideas?

My 27" is so capable of doing everything that to use this thing as a server of any sort is crazy.

I also have a 2004 powerbook with wifi that runs great, and has 1.25 GB of ram. I don't use it all - sell it?

Well .. what's the hold up then? You should sell your Powerbook and 17" iMac, AND if you NEED some portability, you can get lowest end of MacBook Air for accompanying your newly acquired 27" iMac

That way you can get ULTRA PORTABLE Apple on the go .. and ULTRA POWERHOUSE Apple on the room

How's that sounds? But if you don't need outdoor computer at all, why bother spend any fortune for MBA

I've had the 27" iMac since August. I just got the iMac G5 2 months ago.

I bought a MacBook Air in February.

I suppose I should sell both and get an iPad 2, but I have an iPad 1. I was the first person in line in an East Coast store, don't feel like selling that ! haha

Just looked on line, they don't go for much! Any other ideas on what to do with them?

Kitchen-TV/computer? Nice for breakfast, recipes, quick googles. Along with a wireless keyboard it would be great.
iTunes-player somewhere in the house? Great with a couple of good speakers and a remote.

keep the iMac g5 for above mentioned things and maybe the powerbook to surf a bit outside in summer and it might come handy to have a backup system to rely on if things with the new iMac go wrong ;)

and as you then got already 3 Mac's ..good start for a Mac collection ...iMac G4 and iMac G3 waiting just around the corner , i promise you it is addictive ..i only did want one Mac now i got 15 of them and one who's getting refurbished (count 15 +1 in bits ) and i only started in mid 2009 :D

See I've got an AppleTV/TV/7.1 1000 watt speaker system in my living room that's right next to my kitchen. I've got the MacBook Air and iPad for reading wherever. I guess if I had a larger house, but I'm in a 4 bedroom apartment right now.

Sounds like my situation really. I dont know what I would do with that kind of computer either. If you have an iPad, you get the recipes out of that. Give it to someone who needs it? Giving is underrated. :)
