buy the iPhone, keep my current business plan of $45/month for 450 mins, and just add the $20/month data plan? This way I would keep my current business account/plan, but would just add the data plan and shouldn't cause any ripples at work.

I know apple is saying no business accounts, but not sure what that exactly means. Any thoughts of if I can actually get the iPhone and have it work with my number described above?

Thanks!

according to our rep, you will not be able to add the data plan...the only way, straight from out ATT business account rep, to use the iphone is to get your # removed from your business account and be an IRU (individual responsibility user.)

i am pasting below exactly what he stated we need to do...it stinks but i did get approval from our CEO as he wants one too and will also be removing himself from the business contract into an IRU. good luck!!

5.5.2. CRU to IRU
Transferring financial responsibility for an account from a CRU to an individual as an IRU requires the following two steps:
The business customer – through its Telecom Manager or Authorized Order Placer – calls National Business Ordering (NBO) on behalf of the CRU:
888-444-4410
Mon-Fri 8 AM – 8:00 PM Eastern

The TCM/AOP informs the AT&T representative to place a note on their account that they approve the release of the line into the ownership of the individual employee.
The individual may also be on the call with the NBO Representative to approve having the line put under their own personal liability. This change requires a personal credit check on the IRU. This change will cause the line to be billed on a new BAN# and a new FAN#. This will also require the IRU to enter into a two-year contract with a qualified plan to be eligible for the program benefits. If the individual prefers to not be on the two-year contract, follow the instructions in the next section, called “CRU to Consumer”.
5.5.3. CRU to Consumer

Transferring financial responsibility for an account from a CRU to an individual as a consumer requires the following:
1) The business customer – through its TCM or AOP – calls NBO and informs the AT&T representative to place a note on their account that they approve the release of the line into the ownership of the individual employee.

888-444-4410
Mon-Fri 8 AM – 8:00 PM Eastern

2) The individual then calls NBO to have the line put under his or her own personal liability. This change requires a personal credit check. This will require a contract.
