I have a bunch of questions about jailbreaking

Ok, so I JB(redsnow3.0) my 3gs yesterday and I have some questions I would like to clear up. Maybe I should of asked these before I jb my phone lol.

1.) Did I just void my warranty?

2.)When Apple comes out with the 3.1 update, will I be able to update?

3.)I've read that you can brick the phone. What things should I avoid doing after the JB? Can you do a restore after it being bricked?

4.)What do you recommend doing now that it's jb? So far I've only manage to change the sound effects and background/icons.

5.)How do I get installous? After the first post- never mind about this lol.

6.)Whats the difference between springboard and winterboard?

7.)All my backup stuff(pics,contacts etc) got deleted after jb the phone. Did I miss a step or is that normal? It did say to restore the phone in order to jb it.

Any other things you guys like to chime in on? Let me know! Thanks!

1. Yes, unless you restore when you take it in.
2. Not for a while (keeping the unlock).
3. Nope.
4. Don't overload it with crap and then complain that it is slow.
5. GET OUT.
6. The Springboard is what Apple calls the interface, Winterboard is what the modding is called.
7. Normal. Just restore them.

I think your right, this is the way I read that...

+1 ^^^ We don't use the "I" word on MR, enjoy the JB. I just did a re-JB and it took about (8) minutes max....
