I have a broken 2012 27" imac, I have a 2014 27" extra screen can I swap the 2014 27" and connect it to the 27" 2012 system and it work?
 
Nope, 2014 is a retina LCD and wouldn’t be compatible with the 2012. You would need either another 2012 LCD or a 2013 LCD
