Just upgraded my Mac from SL to ML today so I can now use Icloud and am trying to figure it out but either things things sucks or I don't know how it works.

I have an Ipod Touch (3rd Gen), Ipad 3, and Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion, I want them to all work together (one reason why I stick to mostly apple products) but this seems far too much to ask.

I want my Ipod and Ipad to have the same Apps and when I download something on my Ipad it would be awesome if it also downloaded on my touch. Also I have no clue how to get my app purchases into my itunes (which currently just has songs). I have registered for iCloud on all my devices but it hasn't done anything.

I also have some books on my Ipad in ibooks (not purchased in ibooks though) and I want them on my computer and Ipod touch, is this possible with icloud?

I just wants them all to sync together and have the same stuff is this possible???

I have done that, but the only way I can find to get things on other devices is to go to past purchases from itunes, app store, or ibooks however most the stuff on my devices I did not purchase from those locations.

The only way I can get the apps I have on my ipad onto my ipod touch is to go into my purchases and downloaded them all manually, that isn't much faster than just going into the app store and downloaded them as normal. I am starting to think icloud is a complete waste and I should just do everything manually.

Just set the iOS devices to automatically download purchased apps. Settings -> Store.

I'm also somewhat confused. Were you expecting faster download speeds via iCloud (which is weird because apps always come from the App Store, iCloud merely keeps a record and backs up the data), or am I misreading something?
