So i have being looking on this forums and Apple's website trying to figure out which Intel Chips are in the iMac's. According to a thread on here, they are still using the Santa Rosa chips, I thought there are fairly old
. Then it says the Cstom iMac ( the Top end of the line one, 3.06ghz), says that it is more like a Montevia chip.
Could somebody please ecplaing which chips are in both 24" models... I thought they were Penryn. Snow leopard is focusing on Mac OS X, using multi cores, since the iMac us Core 2 Duo, is this classes as multi core, if not, will Snow Leopard still take full advantage of it, optimizing it to perform even better.
Thanks
