Hi everyone,

On May 17th I rang up the SoHo Apple store in NYC and reserved a 32GB 3G+WiFi model. I just got the email through today that it was in stock and I could come pick it up.

Typically, I am no longer in NYC, I'm back in my hometown of London, and I've got my own iPad now, so I don't need this reservation.

So, being the generous man that I am, I want to transfer the reservation to someone who has been waiting ages for one. My main concern is whether it will work if I just give you the name and email address of the person I ordered it for, or will I need to ring the store and change the details?

Anyway, who's interested?

I'd suggest you "let it go to waste" and let the next person on the waiting list have the spot. Seems the most fair thing to do.

You're right, that makes the most sense. I'll let it expire!
