So I work in a repair shop, and this customer left a milk-spilled MacBook Pro 2015 for spare parts. I was thinking the other day that this device does have a WiFi card, and it looks like it hasn't been touched by the milk. So it would be a cheaper way to upgrade my current setup (have a MacGyvered FV-T919 PCIe card that has really weak BT). What adapter card + additional cables do I need?

assuming it's the same small card that was used in iMacs etc which provides wifi and bluetooth, you need a kit which comes with an adapter card to go from it, to the slot on the MP's motherboard, as well as a cable to go from the adapter to the MP's separate bluetooth card connection socket, once you remove the bluetooth card.

I picked up a 2009 cMP recently, and it didn't have a wifi card. I grabbed a broadcom card from an old polycarb 2006 iMac I had lying around. I pulled the processor/ram tray and installed the card in the slot, using the T6 screws that secured it to the iMac logic board. Attach wireless leads 1 & 3, and everything works in OS X and Windows 7. As long as they are pin-compatible, it should work without any macgyvering needed. Finding the right screws is not hard, but can be pricey. The official screw part number is "922-7734," but they're just M2x3mm.

I don't think it matters, but I plugged #1 into the "right" lead, and #3 into the "left" lead while reading the FCC info. I used a pair of tweezers to slip the #2 lead between the card and logic board.

Any suggestions for mini-PCIE wireless cards? preferably one that supports wireless AC.
AFAIK, seems that the best nowadays is BCM94360CD, but you will need a form factor adaptor.

I have bought one on AliExpress and arrived some time ago, but I'm still waiting for the BT connection cable.

Did you looked at osxwifi.com?

At those prices, I'm better off just using my Airport Express, and plugging in ethernet...
