yes, My in car bluetooth definitely has an echo with the iphone that did not exsist with 3 other phones used on it previously.

I have the same problem. I have a 2007 Lexus and I hear the slight echo. With the previous generation iPhone I never had a problem. I've had 2 bad 3G's so far and my girlfriend is on her third. :(

2nd that here. Tried it on several new cars on the lot and same echo.

Yet another "feature" of iPhone 3G that makes me want to throw it out the window and go back to my old one.

BMW has this too... on all models from what I can tell on the car forums. I have a 5 series and it all works great, but I get a slight echo.

The echo goes softer to almost not audible if I turn up the volume ON THE PHONE while talking on it via bluetooth.

My address book synchs and all other things seem fine. The callers on the other end say it sounds great too, so I have just learned to live with it and remember to turn up my phone when I hear it.
