Why not put a Qi charger in the base of the iMac, and a charging coil in the bottom of the Magic Mouse? That way, when you want to charge your mouse, you just park it on the base of the iMac and it charges the mouse when you’re not using it. No more turning the magic mouse over to plug a charging cable into it and keep the user from being able to use it while it’s charging. Additional revenue could be made by Apple creating a Qi charging mat, just one coil in it, and sell it to people who bought a magic mouse to use with devices besides the iMac.

I think the gripe people have with it is that you can't use it and charge it at the same time. Your 'idea' doesn't solve that.
