I have recently acquired a 2013 iMac and I would like to know if someone knows which PCIe ssd would work well on this generation of Mac. I have heard that they have a 17 pins ssd M.2 drive but I would like to upgrade it. Can someone tell me which ssd I can purchase and will fit into the slot, (such as Amazon) and how successful they were with the process.

Is the speed going to be faster using a PCIe ssd than using a sata ssd 2.5". Can someone help me with the type PCIe and if I should use an adapter instead and use a newer type of ssd.

Thanks for your help
Norm
