I have to wait for a new air but my lady rules

So I sold my '11 MacBook Pro intending to replace it with an Air. Some stuff came up today (which is super good stuff to come about) but I gotta use my liquid funds on something else.

This is why my lady rules. This 3 week delay for a new portable results in the wife offering to buy the Air for me in August freeing me to finally buy a new Mac Pro.

I would've diverted the funds anyways but what a pleasant surprise.

We have shared and personal accounts and we're common law. We both believe we need to have our own money and accounts on top of our joint ventures. We never bicker about what the other buys this way and as a result, it does make a difference who buys what

You just bought an expensive, premium computer a few months ago. So you clearly have money to spend on luxury goods.

You then sold it at a loss with the intent to buy yet another, even more expensive, more premium luxury computer.

And now, your wife is "paying" for it for you? This also makes no sense as any money she spends on a computer is money that is not being spent on other family needs.

Then somehow, this money that is magically appearing out of thin air is allowing you to spend even more money on one of the most extravagant luxury computers money can buy.

Somehow we are supposed to be impressed that your wife is spending the family funds to buy you a computer, despite the fact that you are able to afford the computer on your own and in fact you are personally buying one of the most ridiculously expensive computers available.

All of our family needs are taken care of thank you. I sold my laptop because it couldn't meet my needs.

Not asking you to be impressed. Don't care at all really. I was just excited. I work hard for what I have. Both of us do.

Money doesn't appear out of thin Air. You need to work for it.
