I personally wouldn't expect a full redesign until iOS 12 at the earliest. The changes made to control center, lock screen and notification center are the typically small tweaks we see every 3 iOS versions.

The current design is still modern enough. I see no reason to change it. And Apple did already change some aspects of it with iOS 10, so this is fine for now.

Not going to happen. I would not expect a full redesign for a very very long time... It will evolve more like MacOS does. The main reason that iOS 7 got a redesign is so that they could switch to vector graphics. Apple does not redesign stuff just to make it look different... They only change things if they think that it will make it better.

??? i dont get it and please dont start trouble

The keyboard, when dictation is enabled, has a little microphone symbol to the left of the space bar. If you touch it, you speak rather than type and it translates your speech to text.

I was curious if you were using it when you post here.

How would that start trouble?

Well, in abandoning swipe/slide to unlock it would stand to reason they'd change the way you answer and decline a call when locked.

In adding VOIP support they may want to change how they identify which app the call originates from. I could see small tweaks, but nothing wild.

I actually think Facebook Messenger's new Home screen would be a great place to draw inspiration for a revamp of the Phone's Favorite tab. Information dense but still useful. They should simplify and steal it for Messages as well. Time to move beyond a static list.

New iphone user and what I miss most from android in the phone app is smart dialing. Type the name of the person and their phone number is populated. I hope in the near future, this is implemented.
