I went on the Canadian Apple Online Store and just bought my iMac. 20-inch, 2.4 Ghz + 1 Gig RAM and a Wireless Mighty Mouse for about 1600 CDN with student discount. And also a free iPod nano :). The iPod ships tomorrow and im supposed to have it by friday with expediated. The iMac ships the 10th and ill have it from the 14th to the 21st. A bit long tho, i can't wait!!

I wanted to go to the Apple store and buy it but when i called the guy didn't even knew there was a new iMac that was just released. he said "its not official so we dont know." idiot.

I just bought mine through the Canada Education store too, I'm assuming you meant Sept 14th? I did get the 2.8 24" though, so possibly those could take longer. I got an iPod too, though I upgraded. :)

Is it August for both the iPod and the iMac?

Funny, when I was choosing options, it said originally "3-5 days until delivery" but by the time I was done it said "3-5 weeks". I did upgrade the HD though, so that probably adds time. Oh well! Enjoy yours!

Guys... I looked on the Store after reading your posts...

It will be a 3-5 WEEK delivery if you choose the new wireless keyboard/mouse.

It will be a 3-5 day (estimated) delivery if you choose the wired keyboard.

That is at least what it showed me when I played with my options.

I'd go wireless if the num pad was there. But the fact it isn't really disappoints me.

I'm waiting for the wife to get home to go over the features with her and get her approval before I purchase it :)

Then Apple.ca/education here I come!

Mine is on my desk right now (I'm posting this from my new Mac). I bought it at the Apple store on Tuesday. So far it's great! In the coming weeks I'm going to upgrade the memory and buy a wireless mouse and keyboard.

Any suggestions as to a reputable place to buy third party memory....and a premium brand?

For those of you waiting to receive your new Mac, you're going to love it!!
