My boss asked me to put a site together for our company, http://www.trillium-graphics.com which is a small fine art workshop. I built the site in Dreamweaver and I wanted to get some feedback before we start telling people about it. I appreciate any advice or feedback, but I would be particularly interested in the following:
Does the Navigation all work?
Are there any glaring spelling/text problems?
What does it look like on a PC? (Probably not the best forum for this, but...)
Is the site utterly hideous or is it okay to show to galleries and/or collectors

But again any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Thanks, the fonts are a little boring... are you talking about the border around the thumbnails? I'll give that a try!

I agree about the table borders.

I might change the font too. to something a little more artistic and a little less plain.

Cheers.

I'm on a PC too.

Yeah, those are the ones. Otherwise I like it. It's not too flashy and that's a good thing. You're trying to show off the art, and I think you've done a pretty good job of achieving that.

How did you find Dreamweaver to use?

Cheers.

Thank you! I like that dreamweaver is fairly easy to use, but it is pretty crashy and I find that I often get a dramatically different appearence if I use dreamweaver and then check the site on an old browser or a PC than I see on my screen or in newer browsers. I think this is partially me needing to really scour through the preferences, but I think it is also just indicative of the way dreamweaver codes.

Side Navigation

Since you are trying to avoid flash...

To maintain your appearance, you need to change those side links, one the left, to image based links and not text based.

Also, consider a built-in php contact form. I just made one with my current project http://www.henrypenix.com/ , but it is in flash... but you can see the functionality of having one there.

The reason for the built in form there... is that many people use online mail services like gmail and hotmail... and therefore the mailto links dont work for them. Take a look at my most recent project, under Contact, and think about ways you could put in a contact form for your site.

Best of luck with everything!

The homepage seems, to me, a bit too minimalistic. I wonder also if you could include contact information on the homepage. People sometimes go to your website for your address and phone number; this information takes up very little space, and there's no reason to make people work for it.
