I just got my first Mac, Laptop, and computer!

All in the friendly factor of a Black Macbook! Stock Black Macbook, my dad surprised my this morning when we went to the Apple Store and picked it up, a bag, a printer (They had a Thanksgiving weekend sale) Applecare and Office: Mac! This is my first Mac ever, my first laptop ever, and MY first computer. I am so excited! Some questions: Is the CD Drive supposed to be loud when importing into iTunes, and do the fans usually kick in when importing? Also, do the page up and down keys seem... off to anyone else?

Yes, the fans tend to come on (at least in my Macbook) when importing more than a few CDs in a row. The CD drive is rather noisy - especially when ejecting.

Enjoy your Blackbook! I think you'll find that Macs are pretty great machines.

I haven't noticed anything unusual with the up and down keys - of course, I use the two-finger scrolling all the time, so even if something was off I wouldn't know it.
