Hey all,
just got myself a new 2.0ghz 1gb ram 80gb hardrive White MacBook with a 23" HD display. loving every minuet of this machine! one quick question...how many of you think its worth buying 2gb of ram for this? and if so would anyone wana buy the current 1gb (512 x2) ram from me? thanks all

Hey congrats i have a white 2.0 120g hdd and 1gig and it is amazing too if i had the money i would get the 2gig of ram it would scream even more than it already does.

Well, congratulations! I got mine friday and i'm also loving the experience... About the 2Gb of RAM... I think that if you could afford the 23" display, you can also get the 2 Gb of RAM, from what i read in forums it will make your Mac faster and it wouldn't hurt to.

yup 2 gigs..

i upgraded from 512- 1.25 gigs NOTICEABLY different.

very..will upgrade to 2 eventually.

congrats.i just got mines a few weeks ago too..i dont' think imma switch back to pc anytime soon

Yeah, do it. You'll want to max that RAM if you can swing it.

I got the 2GB from OWC and couldn't be happier, this machine flies.
hard drive replacement is a snap.

After you remove the metal "L" bracket to get at the ram there is a pull tab that pulls out the hard drive.

Screw off the small metal tray, put it on the new one, slide it back in. Put in the OSX disk, format the drive (5 mins), reload OSX and you are done. It took me less than ten minutes to install the ram and hard drive and I had never done that before.

Get the seagate 160GB drive, loving it - so much delicious room.

Sorry a bit OT but i've wondered if there is a substantial difference between 1.5 and 2 gigs of ram. Not that I have $200 to throw around but maybe one day if it was worth it
