Pretty much title. I’ve had that option “allow apps to ask to track” turned off since it was introduced. I just opened the copilot app to input a query really quick and that notification came up.

It being “AI” I said hey your app just asked me this despite the option being turned off. I thought you were built on privacy.
It responded the typical I have no idea why it would ask that, etc.

Anyways. Kind of a bummer. How is that possible. Does that option even do anything?

does Copilot appear on the list of apps which are allowed? you could turn it then off there. Honouring the ”request to track”-setting is the responsibility of, in this case, Microsoft. I would suggest to leave a review in the appstore and use Apple`s Feedback app to inform Apple.

Side note: does not occur on the idevices running 18.3 I own and on which MS Copilot is installed.
