I have and I really liked the blue color but I just loved the way this one felt (a friend had one on his macbook!) and I had to have it! It does add a lot of weight to the laptop though!

yeah it is the soft touch stuff! It feels really really nice! It gets bright enough to see it clearly but not near as bright as it did without the cover (obviously!) I would say about 35% of the light shines through!

I personally don't like having a case/cover attached to my computer, but I have to say, this looks pretty slick. I like it.

Me and hubby have the Speck Satin, I have the 15" and he has the 13", we really likes ours. Good choice.
