This post is for those that can't make a decision ... maybe.

I have posted here in the past asking about 21.5 and the 27 inch iMacs...I spent months of study, kept comparing the two at Best Buy before finally making my transition from PC to a Mac....I went with the 21.5 iMac. Great computer, no problems of any kind and once I got the terminology down and the Mac way of doing things....things went well.

Then I started thinking I wished I had bought the 27".

I asked here on what I should do. The bottom line is....I didn't want to take the time of selling it, shipping it without the original box just to buy a 27" iMac.....so I saved my cash and bought the 27" monitor as a 2nd monitor to my 21.5 iMac....I love it!!!!

I could always use two monitors but was never keen on getting a good quality monitor cheaper that wasn't an Apple....that's just me I guess.

I didn't wait for the upgrade, decided what worked well for me and bought the iMac last November 2010.

So for those on the fence....

1. The 27" monitor looks great -- no problems!
2. The iMac works great
3. The iPad is used more than any laptop I have ever owned.
4. The iPad 1 works well, it was bought in October 2010.
5. PC/Windows user since 1996 and am THRILLED I made the switch to Mac
(I do use Office for Mac for the Excel program).

and 6. You get tons of good information on this forum!!

You should never throw away the original apple box. ;)

Makes it easy to resell it -- and ship it.

Even if you didnt want the box -- theres a big market on ebay for empty boxes =).

Thanks for that advice Badger.....I should have started a collection of Apple boxes, just for that.....costly error in judgement. :D

Hi iubhounds, not that people can't comfortably do video editing on a single screen but the flexibility of having that second screen is worth a mention, too. Plus, as someone who ordinarily has no need of a car I very much like the idea of the 21" iMac being semi portable!
