I know I sound stupid, 3.1-3.0 3gs downgrade

I updated to 3.1 the day of release like an idiot and lost the chance to jailbreak the 3.0.
I've been wanting to JB but cannot since I have 3.1.
Would someone be so kind and tell me how to downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0? Then to jailbreak from there? Sorry I just am not to super techy when I comes to this stuff. Like a little child that needs to read from the book with huge letters hah

However no downgrade for you unless you were able to capture the required files or if you had cydia do it for you.
 
Ya I have iTunes set to check cydia's servers now. But I'm the same way I'm on 3.1 on a iPhone 3G and want 3.1 jailbroken. Going back to 3.0.1 is my last resort move unless someone can help me find some simple stupid instructions for 3.1 jailbreaking on windows (which I'm getting conflicted reports is and isn't possible)
 
Right now Pwnage isn't available on Windows for the 3GS...

Either find a friend who has a mac and use their computer to do it... Or... and this is a last resort if you HAVE to have 3.1JB is to check one of the torrent sites for an ipsw and make sure it has good comments.. But that is not a route I'd recommend....
 
I have a mac, what steps do I need to follow in order to downgrade. If it's possible?

You have a 3G, you can always downgrade.

The Cydia SHSH files is for 3GS only

And have a 3.0 ipsw somewhere and shift+click restore navigate to it and follow through.

I'm assuming its nearly the same as downgrading an ipod touch.

Sorry but this answer is incorrect. You have a 3GS and Apple quit signing the 3.0 and 3.0.1 IPSW's. Unless your SHSH files were captured to Cydia, you CAN NOT downgrade.
 
Since you mentioned you upgraded your 3gs on the first day of 3.1 release. I assume that you didn't have your ECID recorded in Cydia server.

Dude you are totally stuck like I was. Get your phone replaced and hope the new one comes with 3.0 or just stay put for new tool which is working for 3.1 3gs OTB. Hope it can be released soon. Good luck.
 
Quick question. I'm still running 3.0 jailbrokin on my 3G S. Lately I noticed a bit more lag and just want to clean restore / re jailbrake. Is that possible without updating?
