Other I know using 2 cell providers increases battery usage but by how much ?

Does it matter if the second cell provider has just text messages enabled as well ? No phone or data or would a plan with phone, text, and data use the same amount of battery ?

It would probably depend on the signal strength of both carriers, since your phone needs to keep itself connected to towers for both.

I’ve used dual sim before, and one carrier had a weak signal, so I did notice my battery draining faster than usual.
