Nice to hear! I keep going back and forth between wanting to pull the trigger on the new iPad Air 4 or getting the 8th gen, but I keep reminding myself the 8th gen would suffice my (very basic) needs, and then some.

Considering how many people seem to be having issues with light bleed on their new Airs, and the fact that Apple is about to release new silicon Macs, I’m thinking the 8th gen is the be$t option for me. It would allow me to save money and use that towards a new MBP instead.

Did you get an Apple Pencil as well?

My school ordered a set of iPad 8th Gens for teachers a month ago and even though I have my own personal Air 4, I'm eagerly anticipating their arrival.

It's certainly a very good tablet that will easily meet most people's needs.

For the record, I'm pretty sure that the light bleed issue with the Airs is being greatly overstated on this forum... as usual.

Nah, no pencil for me. But I’ve read it works well.

Wondering what level of position you are on at the Apple board.
I’m Tim Cook posting under a pseudonym. I mean, I really could be, and I could tell you, because no one would believe it anyway.

But seriously, most of the terrible issues with Apple products that I hear about in this forum I never hear about anywhere else. As for the light bleed in particular, it sounds like even the people who say they have it have had to go out of their way to find it.

I bought a pencil but have almost never use it. Think hard unless you can draw. Cheers Robert
