This sucks!
So I was just verifying my startup disk and it needs to be repaired. For this I need to boot my mac from the install dvd that I bought. The problem is that I cannot find it!
I will call tomorrow but I don't live in USA and the service is not good.
How can I get to repair my disk or at least get my DVD back?
Thanks

If you have a second Mac, or access to it, and both Macs (yours and the 2nd one) have Firewire, you can use Target Disk Mode to boot your Mac as external HDD and do the checking via the second Mac.

Or as already stated, you can get the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD and use that.

Hi and thanks for answering.
Firstly, in my country Apple is expensive it costed me 200 USD, it was a 5 license disk. One day I lent it to my cousin so she could use it because I had only used 2 of the licenses, she gave it back but I do not know where I left it.
I will see what I will do

There are plenty of torrents seeding the install disks. If you have a license, just make a copy of the install disk and proceed.

Yeah, that is what I am doing... it is not how I would like it to be. I phoned apple and they said they would not give me a replacement but I could go to the store and they could insert the disk to fix the start up disk but they would charge me 140 $ which is crazy.

I had booted up from the install disk perviously when I had the DVD so I should not have any problems right?

Which country is that where Apple does not sell a Single User product?

And that violates the SLA of Mac OS X, unless your cousin lives in the same household.

Apple Premium resellers do sell single user license in Argentina, but I have more than one Mac.
My cousin is from Europe and she came to our house to visit us for some days so she was living with me.
