I have a new imac i7 and it's awesome but i am surprised that it doesn't tilt down! I have a desk that is very tall and it would be nice to have the imac tilt slightly down like other monitors I have owned. Sorry to rant, but I just can't believe that this wasn't implemented in the design!

I see what you men, it tilts up quit a bit, but does not tilt down much at all. How about using an arm mount like on a flat panel tv screen ? The iMac was designed to be able to do this, perhaps just for people in your situation.

I had to get an arm desk mount for that same reason, the couple of inches I lowered it by using the arm made all the difference.

I hope the OP has a chance to visit the Best Arm For New 27" iMac thread to hear some of the many happy stories of iMac owners and their arms (well, except for rmsilver7's run in with Marisa... ;) ). A radial articulating arm not only solves the downward tilt problem, but provides a bounty of other ergonomic options and is a natural match for the new iMac.
