I am kind of half new to apple products and got my first iMac 5years ago and it's one of the best things thats ever happened to me!

But there are some people out there that regret buying them, i was just wondering, exactly what percent of people actually love their mac to bits??

If the only computer I haven't punched....

After fixing PC's all day I love how I don't have run virus checks and junk on my own Mac.
I just need to squeeze more life outta it

I love mine to bits!

I bought my first Mac to actually use as my everyday computer this year (in October), and although its only an old white iMac, for what I use it for, it's great.
I did have a Mac prior to my iMac, but this G4 mini was bought solely to be put in the corner of my room and act as a quiet but powerful web development and file server.
Both have been faultless :)

Trouble is I'm now looking with longing at the new aluminium iMacs, and I can see myself grabbing one sometime next year after I've saved up some! :D

By the way this in my first post on the forums, I've been lurking around since October reading the news and forums, but this post prompted me to sign up and reply. So, hi, hello, howdy to you all.

haha thats great im glad i inspired you- Welcome to macrumors!

but seriously if your getting it next year and saving up, you might as well wait for the new revised version thats bound to come out next year-its just too obvious now that there will be another fresh revision

Very very cool of you

I would certainly suggest an iPad for you, instead of another mac.
It is truly a new way to compute and experience the web
To be able to actually touch, and interact with your experience is amazing!

I doubt i'll be able to afford a brand new one, but if a new revision is released, i'll be able to get a previous revision model with good spec, cheaper. Which is all good.

I can give my iMac the best compliment I can for a computer: I basically never have to think about it. It doesn't do weird things, it always works, it never has problems. Mine is from 2006 and has been PERFECT since. it runs great, it runs quiet, it doesn't crash.

The ONLY complaint I have is that it sometimes acts a little funky when I'm running it through my receiver to display on my projector. But this is probably due to the fact that I'm running it through an HDMI adaptor since mine didn't come with that. But its hard to fault a computer when you are asking it to do something it wasn't really designed to do.

I love my quad-core 27" iMac..
After all the PC's I've been through, I'm done with it. LOL.
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE MAC APP STORE COMES OUT!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Loving mine.

The only thing that has gone wrong so far was my fault for putting cheap RAM in it.

:)

100% solved just by moving to different memory.

I've really started cooling on mine.

It's a great machine, it is just so rare anymore to be at a desk, I'm really starting to think it may be time to move that little guy on to its next home.

I don't "love" inanimate objects, no do I find them "Sexy" as so many Apple zealots do.

I do however, thouroughly enjoy using them in the manner they were designed for.

I have an iMac G5 and although I don't use it because I have a much more powerful mac pro now. I still keep it nice and clean and on display. I turn it on every now and again just playing around. My love for it is very clear. My mum also owns and iMac and I love using it too, such a nice design and minimal space usage. My next computer will be an iMac (at refresh) and can't wait. :)

Definitely

The imac rocks...however how do you "wake" it when the screen goes in to black screen/'sleep'/energy saving mode???

I try pressing buttons and clicking the mouse...but it doesn't work

can anyone help please??
