Well I remember Tuesday when it came out I had already bought my Low-end MBP 15 days beforehand, but I went to the Apple store to see if they can still help me out. So I went and got there like 30 minutes after it opened and asked about the new MBP's and how i had just purchased mines a day over 2 weeks ago.

The guy sent me to the front desk and they told me it was ok, and I was happy, even got the free ipod nano. So I go in the car and turn on my MBP and instantly notice the improvement in the screen's Brightness, and how it is so even. I love everything about this MBP. The speed is an improvement, but most of all what really makes me not regret trying to get the new MBP is that this machine is so cool compared to the non SR. What i mean is that it barely gets hotter than 50c. I remember the non SR would feel very hot just using it for music and browsing and stuff. Even though I didnt have to pay the restocking fee, for anyone who does have to pay it, It's completly worth it.

So for those who are suggesting upgrading think about what I said and if it benifits you.

Oh and that extra 45 minutes of battery life is really handy. Is there a program that helps you calibrate it BTW? I havent even messed with that.

I was thinking to update from my Core 2 duo, but I decided to wait for those 32 nm processors coming out in 2009. Can you imagine how cool those will run? By that time, there will be case redesign, bluray, and a whole bunch of other things. :D :D :D

I am jealous.

Coconut battery helps calibrate. But you can do the regular routine of charge it to 100% and drain it to 0% and then charge to 100% again.

Congrats. Take pictures! :D

Yea But I'm at work right now so I'll take em when I get home...I dont understand tho...Why would u want pics if it looks the same? Only difference is the black stroke going around the silver MacBook Pro logo.

Congrats to you on your new machine. It sounds like a lovely one. I am impatiently awaiting on Apple to ship my new Macbook Pro I ordered on the 5th. It will be my first Apple computer after 20+ years of strictly PCs.

Yea This is My first mac too. I been using Windows for like less than 10 years already, and thought Windows was the best...Then I decided on getting this laptop, and now I cant go back to windows. When I use my Windows PC at work im so used to that expose feature that I tend to accidently send my mouse to the corner of the screen. I'm a new Mac Fanboy now.

Congrats on a great purchase. I'm heading over to the local Apple store on Saturday to check them out myself. Enjoy it!

Umm...CoconutBattery does not help calibrate your battery, but rather it reads the information off the System Profiler, under the Power listing. It acts the same as iStat Pro. Don't get me wrong, I like Coconut Battery. To properly calibrate the battery, follow the instructions on the Apple website.

Congratulations mate. It sound like the guys in the Apple Store took good care of you - it's nice to hear a story about good customer service.
