Ask Siri “when is Father’s Day?”
I did. Sunday, June 16, 2019.

So I have been getting “Father’s Day is on Sunday September 1st, 2019.” I just realized though that I had Siri’s voice set to Australian to avoid Visual Voicemail transcription, and that’s when Father’s Day is over there. Whoops.Same response here.

And no, I didn’t label my work as home or whatever. I restarted the phone and it did it right afterward. Here’s open iOS 13 improves heaving on Siri. Anyone else have any funny #SiriFails lately?

right, i had no idea the voice choice had anything to do with region.Siri should use a setting other than its selected voice/accent to determine its home region. In fact there are specific settings in Settings (General → Language and Region) for exactly that! Chalk this up to yet another Siri shortcoming. Many people like to use voices other than what’s available for their home country.
I’m Australian and while none of the Siri voices are bad I do prefer the Male Australian voice.
Don’t forget you can download higher quality quality versions of the Siri voices on iOS (as you can on macOS) via Settings → Accessibility → Speech → Voices → English (for example) and then clicking download for any Siri (or other) voice you want in higher quality. Note that the Siri voices are typically around 500 MB each in full quality.
Every year they spend less and less time talking about Siri at WWDC.
