So I'm not going go downgrade, because I need to get used to the new status quo, but iOS 10 is not good. First, I want to remove the widgets screen from appearing when I'm locked. Every time I want to scrub a song on lock, it ALWAYS brings the widget screen first. Also Apple Music now seems like it's formatted for a plus and they didn't adjust it for a 4.8 inch device with the way that you have to scroll to turn on repeat song, etc.

Also, control panel is now terrible. The way that I have to scroll between music controls and all the others is so not intuitive in the slightest and is cumbersome. I saw nothing wrong with the old control panel.

Perhaps the grossest change of all though is how my battery diagnostic apps no longer work. They show 0 cycles, 0 degrees, and no battery capacity. I don't know if it's that Apple is now blocking the analytics, or if the app simply is not yet compatible, but if it's the former, I will not be happy!

Some of the messages stuff is cool, but not cool enough to make me forget about all of the other problems. Speaking of messages, the proportions on where the name ends at the top is awkward and looks like something android would do.
They need to get it together over at Apple. I'm not even upset anymore that my iPad can't run iOS 10 and will be on 9 in perpetuity.

You can disable widgets screen (the Today screen) from showing up when the phone is locked from the TouchID and Passcode settings.

Thank you! That's already a lot better.

I agree with the Apple Music complaint. I was thinking the same thing. Why is the text so gigantic?? It does not match the overall theme of iOS whatsoever. It makes me feel like I'm back on an iPhone 4 where the screen was too small for anything.

Also, my Safari no jumps to my cursor when I'm typing. I have to manually scroll and find it, which is very annoying. I think the same thing happened with the first iOS 7 or 8 release too.
