Hi MacRumors community!

I wanted to share Protego, a native Safari extension I developed for macOS that helps you filter unwanted posts from Reddit. This the first time I ever create an app or release an app on the App Store so please be kind!

As a long-time Mac user, I built this specifically to fill the gap left by Reddit Enhancement Suite's unavailability on Safari.

🔍 Here's what it does:
- Filters Reddit posts based on keywords
- Works with both old and new Reddit interfaces
- Supports real-time filtering as you scroll
- Import/export filter lists
- Dark mode support
- Native Apple Silicon support

Here's a quick look at Protego in action:

Left: Regular Reddit feed with distracting content
Right: Same feed filtered by Protego, showing only the content you want to see

🏷️ Current Price: $1.99
⚡️ Black Friday Sale: $1.49 (25% off through December 3rd)

📱 Requirements:
- macOS 11.0 or later
- Safari 14 or later
- Apple Silicon or Intel Mac

🔄 Coming Soon:
I have several improvements currently under review by App Store review, including:
- Wildcard keyword filtering ("politic*" would match "politics" and "political", etc)
- Performance optimizations
- Additional filter options
- Bug fixes
- UI refinements

The extension is completely private - all filtering happens locally on your Mac, with no data collection or tracking.

I'm actively maintaining and improving Protego, so I'd love to hear your feedback and feature suggestions! As a solo developer, I'm committed to making this the best Reddit filtering solution for Safari users.

Let me know if you have any questions!
