i've been trying to install windows on my mac but my underpowerd mac runs like poo on virtual machines and bootcamp takes forever so i downloaded the drivers that are compatible with my mac and put them in a flash drive with windows installer on it. i then made a partition of 256 gb for testing and booted from the windows installer from the flash drive. when it asked me to choose which partition i wanted to use i saw that i forgot to format it into ntfs so logged back into mac and tried to format it in disk utility but it always showed an error saying an internal state error occurred. i tried running first aid, same result, rebooted my mac and the partition is gone and i lost 265gb from my drive. im running osx15.7 if that helps
