So yesterday I restored my iPhone because it was acting weird. I have back-up set to iCloud. After the iOS installation I picked the Restore from iCloud backup option. I assumed it would restore the settings and app data and then copy my music, apps and videos over from my iTunes library. To my horror I found out (much later, actually the day after because it took all night!!!) that it was not putting the videos back on my iPhone from iTunes but downloading them from iCloud (at least that is how it appears). So when I unplugged my iPhone and left for work I get this message that it cannot restore Episode 5 of Primeval at this time. It shows in my Video app as being there, but it's trying to download it from the iTunes store (it's about 85% done), which of course it won't do over 3G.

I dunno, am I raving mad or has anyone else seen this?

Help me get this straight.

When you asked it to restore from the iCloud, you are confused because the data came from the iCloud.

Is that the 'bug' you think you are experiencing?

Not quite. I expected it to restore my setting and app data from iCloud. What I didn't expect was that it would download from the iTunes app on my phone the videos I had on there. They are in my iTunes library on my computer, whihc is what my phone was connected to, which is where I expected it to load them from.

So now, I just deleted the partial download and went to watch one of my other videos. I get the message "The requested URL was not found on the server"

My iPhone was restoring from 10pm last night to 7:30am this morning, and it didn't actually put back any of the videos that are in my iTunes library on my computer.

WTF

iCloud don't backs up your videos that you've synced on your iTunes. It backs up settings and apps.
