Every time I try to do a simple thing such as send a text or just make a quick call in public it takes me about 10 mins. Every time I pull this phone out someone sees it and it takes me about 10 mins to show off all the dope features. It is consuming to much of my time to just reply Yes or No to a text!!!

I hear you. Gave at least 25 demos in my office last week and 6 today, so far. I was never so happy to get a low battery message on screen. :p

worth a little trouble to have an iPhone

My boyfriend and I have iPhones and are a little afraid to use in public. We were at a restaurant yesterday waitng on our meal. My boyfriend pulls out his iPhone to check the radar as we had storms in the area. We were in a booth off to the side and still a waiter walks by and comes back and says "Hey, Is that an iPhone?"

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I thought I might get him a cake with an iPhone on it that said happy birthday on the screen. I went to the bakery, showed them my iPhone and asked if they could make a cake if I brought them a picture. They were more interested in my iPhone than they were making a cake for me :(

I do love my iPhone though and feel the positives outway the negatives.

Today I took a friend to the doctor. While she was in the doctor's office I stepped up to the appointment desk to ask a question about the office's phone number, and then sat back down and put the info into my iPhone. Then I went back to the appointments desk and casually said, "OK, thanks, now I've got the info entered here!" and showed the receptionist the entry. She glanced at it for a moment and then did a classic doubletake, her eyes all but bugged out and she exclaimed, "is that an iPhone!?!!! OMG, let me see!! It's an iPhone!!!!" She said she wants one so badly.... I had fun showing her all the nifty features and she was going ga-ga.... And then, gee, someone else came along to make an appointment or confirm their appointment and she had to get back to work. Anyway, I am having fun showing this thing off to selected people. However there are definitely places where I don't pull it out! I'd just as soon not get knocked out so that some clown can grab my iPhone.....

I have been enjoying sharing my iPhone at work and with friends, but yes, I'm sure it would/could be a real nuisance if you've actually got to use it to make an important call and someone is saying, "oh, is that an iPhone? Lemme see!!"

I had an appointment with my dentist today and most of it was spent showing my iPhone to the nurse. I probably have cavities all over the place that went unnoticed because she was pinch-zooming.

I'm suing Apple!

A few years back we had an iPod mini grooms cake at my brother's wedding.
It came out well.

I had a hair cut appointment today with this super cute girl that always cuts my hair and I casually mentioned the iPhone and her mouth immediately dropped. I believe that I made her next appointment wait a while because she was so interested in checking it out.

Now... if I can just convince her to swing by my place for another opportunity to look at my "iPhone"... :D

i was a little afraid at first but it has been a week and I live in a big market. I was descrete the first week but I'm no longer scared. When I pull it out I get looks but not questions. I've seen plenty of others in the wild and at this point , depending I where you live so have others, i think. Besides I paid $600 to use it right? My only downsde is I lost the headphones and apple store has no accessories In stock ever
