Used Photoshop 5.5. I tried to do some very subtle shadings and blends. And to me I think it came out alright, but I come to find that some of my work ain't **** to others. So I just wanna know what ya'll think.

Be as real as you can, because I only want to get better at PS.

I'm not sure what the objective is exactly, or what you're going for, aside from playing with shades and gradients. Magenta is seldom "subtle," and is where my eye is directly drawn, while my brain says that the focus of the piece should be the person. When I squint, all that I see is black and magenta.

WTH I thought I posted a reply a while back....

I hear ya tho. The magenta is over-whelming. I'm gonna try to put the main focus on the person and fade out that late sunset magenta. I tend to have ADD when it comes to having focus on a picture.

Should I do something with night sky? I think the stars look kinda fake or somewhat more surreal than I imagined. What should I do to make them more natural?

Sweetness. I just dropped the whole sunset thing and kept with the night theme.

V 1.1

- Fixed stars
- Added moon
- Changed hill
- Made tree brighter
- Added an outline to person
- All images are made by me, except the moon, cuz my moon renditions look like crap

I think this is way better but there's always room for improvement. I reget though that I didn't do this at a higher resolution. I can see pixelations.

Also, the pic in PS looks brighter than in MR because of the bright layout of MR overpowering the dark contrast of the picture.

Does it look like there is some balance/focus now?

try this too

you can find an image and change it to black and white. select the black part. create a new layer and then fill the selection with the color of your choice. Fun way to get realistic images into your canvas.
