I need a simple additional phone. All I need to do is call and text. I'm on the Verizon network, and all they have are these: https://www.verizonwireless.com/featured/shop-phones-devices/

Is there a phone out there that has the look and feel of an iPhone, without the need to get all the bells and whistles AND not have to get a smart phone data plan.

What you're asking seems to be contradictory. All you need is a phone that can call or text. Yet the look and feel of an iPhone means a touchscreen and crazy good build quality with expensive materials.

What you are asking for is contradictory. iPhones ARE smartphones which are simple to use. Otherwise, you pretty much have two choices: a flip phone with no data plan or another smartphone with a data plan.

Verizon doesn't allow smartphones without data plans. However, you could use a shared data plan and disable the LTE on the secondary iPhone, essentially using it as a call/texting device with wifi. You'd simply be paying a line access fee.

What's your budget? First and most important question.

Then look at prices on Craiglist, Swappa, etc.

As for whether it's a iPhone or Android...that is all up to you.

Go to a GameStop in your area that sells refurbished smartphones, they have both android and iPhones on Verizon. Heck, you can have one as soon as tonight.

Just do an online search for your area with your zip code on their website.
