I need a solution RE: iMac optical Fan

Hello, I've been researching for quite awhile but have yet to find a solution to my problem, hopefully you guys can help.
I have an iMac i7 27". I replaced the superdrive with an ocz 256gb SSD mac edition, using the adapter from ifixit. Now, the Optical Drive fan is always running the highest, more than the HDD or the CPU, at all times. It's not stuck or a pram reset issue as i have tried all of these things. The fan runs normal then under more load ramps up to around 3800 rpm, while the HDD and CPU fans stay around 1100 rpms. I stuck the optical temp sensor on the SSD, but have tried it in several spots on the adapter, on the drive, around the frame, but to no avail. Thanks for ANY input

did you reattach the sensor? or did it come disconnected when you swapped the drive with the space holder from ifixit?

only reason why the fan would be roaring is you have a problem with the sensor.

Use iStat to check the details of the sensor.

the sensor is attached, and it is working fine. The problem seems to be that the fan gradually gets up in rpm's past what would seem to be normal. It does eventually go back down, but after some time.

waht is the temperature of your drive ?

Mine is 128 celsius because of wrong data in smart!!! I cannot change this information , it's a firmware data.

I google but find no info how to disable smart temp reading on osx.

This also affect a bit the other fan, so disconnecting the optical fan is not a solution... (SSD in optical bay)

So how to disable the fan probe inside the ssd?

my optical temp is fine, it's only 48, but the damn fan is still at 3000 rpms! not sure what to do yet.
