Okay. I just downloaded the Say Cheese Widget.

I'm reading Calvin and Hobbes cartoons. I realise that each day there is a new cartoon, and the cartoon from a month ago, goes away, (February 10 went away when March 10 came in today).

So if I just saved all the strips for a while, would I get all the calvin and hobbes strips that exist? And also, I noticed that when I paste the Image URL into a brower, near the end of the URL are 6 digits, 950xxx, where xxx is the date of the strip. For instance, today's strip was 950310 (march 10). February 13 was 950213, etc.

However, when I try to go further back in the URL, like for instance, before it says "1995", or when it says "ch" for calvin and hobbes, it says it's a directory or something, and that my server can't get to it.

Explain......

thanks.

wow... does anybody have any idea how to get into that directory? That's all i'm asking.

They don't want you in that directory, which is why they disabled browsing. You can try one of the site-downloading apps that will retrieve a whole website to your computer, and enter the calvin and hobbes directory for the site to retrieve, but smart webmasters will have disabled that, too.

If that's the case, you'll just have to enter the dates manually. 950310 breaks down into 95 03 10. In other words, you need leading zeroes. You could rig up something in Automator to do this for you.
