Wait for the new Samsung Tab S4? Wait for the new Ipad Pro? Another Samsung Tab S2 on sale now at Costco for, i think, $279? Something else?

If you can wait till mid June, wait for the new iPad Pro. Else go with the current one.

Mid June is only a couple of weeks away. Do you think they'll have a new IPad Pro then? Most of what i read is people despairing of any new IPad Pro coming out this year. What have you heard?

Really want a Tab S4 also but I need an 8” Version. As my take anywhere.

What are you using a tablet for?
For games and entertainment, just get the cheap Amazon kindle fires. Better bang for the buck than the Samsung tablets.

No games, lot of you tube and general usage. Kindlefire? I just took a glance at amazon reviews and was turned off. Saw reports of them not playing youtubes smoothly and general internet incompetance, but i have no personal experience with them. They sure are inexpensive.

In addition to my 10.5 iPad Pro, I have an 8" Galaxy Tab S2 - it's nice little tablet, really like it.

Right now i have both the S2 8 and 9.7 inch. I like them. I had the Ipad Pro 12.9 but i returned it to Costco within the 3 month return window because the volume control button broke. I think the Costco sale on the S2 9.7 i mentioned above is still ongoing if u r interested. I haven't seen any sales on the S2 8 inch. But I'm waiting to c what the new one will be like. Doesn't sound too impressive so far. I'm starting to have battery or charging problems with my 9.7 now, which appears to be common after 2 years, tho it's still working. I hate unreplaceable batteries.

Still waiting for the Tab S4 or the new Ipad Pro, but meanwhile i just picked up a spare tablet at Costco, an 8 inch Tab A on sale for $150. By the way, i saw they have the Ipad Pro 10.5 on sale for 120 off. That might be an indicator of new models coming. I don't think they commonly put their Ipads on sale.

For your needs a kindle fire. Quite the no brainer. The new 10” ones are superb. Tough too. I’ve had one from 2014. Never a case. Just chuck it in my bag and don’t think about it. It’s fallen multiple times, sometimes straight on the screen. Never an issue.

Do u use a screen protector on it? The kindle fire and the tab a i just bought as a spare to leave in my vehicle seem pretty comparable. The kindle is less expensive. I think i made the right choice though. I've just started playing around with the new tab A and I'm already almost totally familiar with it as it is almost the same as my tab s2's. One big advantage it has over the kindle (and the ipads too for that matter, except the cellular models) is it has true gps. In fact its gps is much more accurate than that on my tab s2 8 inch, according to GPS Test!

Nope not even a screen protector. Mines a 8.9 fire Hd from 2014. Apparently the newer ones, except the 10.9, aren’t full HD.

I love it. But it’s used pretty much only for books or movies on long trips. I don’t travel with a laptop.
