Hello. I’ve been using airdrop for a long time and never had an issue. So I just went to airdrop 100 photos as I usually do without issue. I airdropped and saw the photos scattered around a bunch of blank thumbnails. This has never happened. Then I realized the blank thumb nails were some of the photos I had airdropped. There is some sort of glitch. Im trying to delete these blank thumb nails and I’m getting this pop up saying they are being used by an app etc. i have no apps open, nor have I used these in any app. And when I try to delete them it’s taking forever. Any ideas would be awesome. Thank you.

Where did you airdrop from and did it complete. My understanding is that although deleted items appear in the trash they still remain connected to the original location until the trash is emptied. If the airdrop didn’t finish the trash is trying to connect to something that doesn’t exist. Restarting may resolve it.

I airdropped dropped from my iPhone. Oh wow! I bet you are right. I bet they weren’t transferred yet. I swear I’ve done that many before and it was instant, but maybe not? You may very well be right. Thanks so much for the feedback.
