I need help with BootCamp....

I want to install XP on my MB, (my college offers installing the XP for $6), but making all this procedure (installing XP) seems to be a lengthy one.

So my question is if I am able to begin all this at my house (copying the CD with Mac drivers, making a partition for XP and all that). And next day installing XP.

Can I restart the MB and nothing would happen to the installation process?

I don't quite understand, but it's just like a regular windows xp install. Burning the drivers cd takes a couple minutes, you should be up and running at (correct me if i'm mistaken) around an hour. But you can't restart the computer once the install starts, that's just silly.

I know it's a silly question I thought installing all this would take more time, but 1 hour is OK.

It should take about 1 hour. In some cases (like mine) it may take longer (like 3 weeks from first putting the windows disc in and finally successfully booting).

If you are asking if you can burn the drivers CD, then wait before installing XP, you can. Just don't push the wrong button in Boot Camp.

I thought it was $6, but no......it's even better they don't charge you anything. I installed Office for Mac today.

And monday I'll go to install XP (also free)

Edit: They have a lot of licenses for each program I think. They told me it was a service the College gave all their students.

Not really sure about the classes, but yes it was cool saving like $300 for the XP and office.

Sadly they don't have OS X (so I'll need to buy Leopard), neither iWork. For Mac they only have Office and some anti-virus (useless). Let's hope they get the new Office 07 when it comes out for Mac.
