Ok, So the past couple months I've ran two partition. One with Mavericks and one with Yosemite. I feel that Yosemite is good enough to use full time now so I deleted the mavericks partition and wanted to resize the Yosemite one to reclaim all that disk space. Unfortunately I have no idea how to increase the partition size. I can drag the volume up and seem stuck at the bottom of the graph. I'm including a screen cap of what I'm looking for. Major props to the dude here who can tell me how to do this...Much appreciated.
Open Terminal and type "diskutil cs revert disk1" (without the quotes) and enter. Wait for it to revert the core storage volume. Now command-r boot to recovery and start Disk Utility. Go to the erase tab and select the blank 194GB partition at the top then select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) in the drop down and name the partition whatever you want (Macintosh HD is good) then apply the change.
Now go to the restore tab and drag the OS X Yosemite partition into the source filed and the Macintosh HD partition into the destination field then click restore. That will clone the Yosemite install to the Macintosh HD partition.
Restart and option key boot to the Yosemite install on the Macintosh HD partition. Make sure everything looks okay then do to Disk Util and delete the bottom Yosemite partition and expand the Macintosh HD partition into the empty space following
this.
Backup first before you do this in case things go badly.
