I need help with finder

Not exactly sure what I did, in finder, like in folders or on the desktop, whenever i right click, finder refreshes itself. So if im trying to look at file information, it doesnt let me. Just closes all open folders. This is only in finder though. In applications right click still works the same.


Any ideas on what did this or how to fix it?

Sounds odd to me. Perhaps a logout or restart my fix it? If not, try dragging com.apple.finder.plist (found in ~/Library/Preferences) to your Desktop and restarting.

Run all basic tests/diagnostics/repairs first, especially permissions repair. SO MANY THINGS get sorted out by permissions repairs.

Though I've had buggy finder windows where the only thing for it is to restart.
