If waiting for Santa Rosa is even a good idea?
I was waiting for leopard, but I cannot wait another 5'ish months for an apple. Do you honestly think they will show Santa Rosa and start shipping at WWDC or right after the convention?

also...

What is so good about Santa Rosa anyways? Is there a thread or can someone tell me what's so good about it compared to the 2duo?

I'm sure if you search the forums for different threads you will find all of your questions answered. I would find you some but I'm tired of doing it.

i don't know all the technical improvements that Santa Rosa will bring but i do know that you will not be disappointed with one of Apple's current models. they are great machines that will perform amazingly for years to come.

Santa Rosa is a new chipset the main benifit will be faster booting due to a flash memory cache, and it can support more RAM than the current chipset can.

How long do I have to wait? I don't want to buy a MCP today and a month later there is a new hardware update. When do you think the hardware will actually be updated? June?

I'm in the Same Boat as You...

...and there are a million threads about this.

Nobody knows for sure. However, all evidence points to WWDC in June.
