I need Mac Mini drivers for windows, Like ethernet wireless bluetooth ect

Hi, I need the drivers for windows, I am running only windows on my mac mini, i never installed bootcamp, I have no OS X disc to reinstall Mac OS X on the mini, so i need drivers for the internet to work, and the wireless, and everything else, If you can point me in the right direction as to where i can get the drivers i would really appreciate it, thanks so much

A very bad end but I'm sure someone would be willing to extract the drivers from the disc image in Boot Camp. Failing that you can always try MacDrive or HFSExplorer to do it as well.

I still think it would be a better idea to extract the drivers out of the Boot Camp package though. I find the links given on the wiki a little questionable.

I tried running bootcamp on my G5 it installs and after im agreeing to install it on my comp the program freezes, Now how do i extract the drivers tell me and i will do it.

You don't need to install it. You only need to examine its contents to extract the disc image and/or burn it.

And that sight that you gave me, It did see it, I clicked on the links to download the drivers either the pages dont work, or its the wrong driver, or it takes you to this totally different site.

Can i have step by step directions, it would be really helpful, i know im asking some of your time, but if i get this working hopefully no more problems would arise. and that would be wonderful. :D
 
Here's what I did using my ill equipped Windows laptop.

1. Downloaded Boot Camp from Apple.
2. Opened the contents using HFSExplorer
3. Viewed the Contents of "Install Boot Camp Assistant.mpkg.
4. Found Archive.pax.gz

In OS X the location of the package contents would be...

Install Boot Camp Assistant.mpkg/Contents/Resources/Boot Camp Assistant.pkg/Archive.pax.gz

Archive.pax.gz contains the disc image for the Boot Camp Drivers. It's 342 MB, what else would it be?

So, your telling me i have to download this HDSExplorer thing on the mac mini, witch i donno how im going to do i have no internet on it because the ethernet drivers arnt working, So i download that HDSExplore than i download bootcamp and burn them both to disc, then i install HFSExplorer and run the bootcamp thing and look for that file you said above.

Note that I gave the location of the files in OS X. All you have to do is examine the contents of the Install Boot Camp Assistant package.

So explain, in very very fine detail how i do this, like literally step by step, for example : Click Mac Hard drive, in the search box type : example.


You know something like that
 
In OS X, Ctrl + Click on the package and Show Package Contents

You then follow the previous path information I posted earlier...

Install Boot Camp Assistant.mpkg/Contents/Resources/Boot Camp Assistant.pkg/Archive.pax.gz

You then extract Archive.pax.gz and then burn the disc image or put the contents onto a drive that's accessible in Windows

This is Frustrating, there is no Assistant.mpkg/Contents/Resources/Boot Camp Assistant.pkg/Archive.pax.gz


ok, I click on the Bootcamp dmg thing, and i click show package contects, then it goes to another screen where it shows contects oviously , well there is nothing about this "Assistant.mpkg/Contents/Resources/Boot Camp Assistant.pkg/Archive.pax.gz" in there so then i click on install bootcamp assistanse and do the right click and click on show package contects, yet again there is nothing about "Assistant.mpkg/Contents/Resources/Boot Camp Assistant.pkg/Archive.pax.gz" in there
 
Why cant mac just have a damn driver site like dell and every other damn computer company on this earth.


They are the best, but yet some of the things they don't have is ridiculous. they think people wont need drivers because its a "mac" and thats what i hate.

Not even "macs" are perfect.
 
Did you open the Boot Camp disk image and then look through the contents of Install Boot Camp Assistant.mpkg?

I don't find the manufacturer's stock drivers to be the best as it is. I usually have to end up going to the original component manufacturer as it is to find better OEM drivers.

Bootcamp, and its associated driver disk is a beta release and unsupported (until Leopard's release). That said, the drivers are available at Apple's site.

Aside from that, why is it Apple's fault you don't have your OS-X install disks? Have you tried to get a replacement set? The Mac Mini is not sold without OS-X. And, as mentioned above, booting to Windows is a beta project - meaning you're on your own.

Thankfully, there are some very helpful people here who have gone out of their way to try and help. Making some irrational rant isn't going to be in your best interest here.

Boot Camp doesn't work on PPC, dude.

They have plenty of Mac drivers. Why do you have a mac mini without any install discs?
