I currently have my iMac G3, running 10.3.9 and using Safari to surf the net. I have cable internet service with ethernet connection. I want to add my daughters iMac also a G3 running 10.3.9 and Safari, to the internet same service. After going to Circuit City and ebay, and looking at my options, I'm not sure if I should stick with apple products or go with another one? I DO NOT have any airport cards in the computers, and they don't look airport ready either.
Option one: Buy original airport cards with adapters ($150.00+ each) and an Apple Base Station or Apple Express or Apple Extreme? Major $$$
Option two: Buy USB Adapters ($50 each) (seen on ebay) and Apple Base Station or Apple Express or Apple Extreme? Medium $$$
Option three: Buy USB Adapters ($50 each), and a wireless D-Link, Linksys, Netgear or Belkin (Circuit City offering rebates on D-Link and Linksys) Lowest $$$ Which wireless router is better? Do they work with Safari??
The more I see the more I can't decide, I want a reliable problem free solution. Does anyone have suggestions??
